Big-school Bullies by Sibulelo Manamatela

Poem

morning arrives
feeling foggy
wondering
‘do I have to go?’

only seven
turning eight,
‘mommy
can I stay at home?

the kids are loud
kick me in the butt
and you always come
a little late!’
