Poet Bio

You know the words, friend:
to bend the world,
set things on end.
You know the spell.
I saw you gathering wood,
by the place with the empty well,
in the clearing where we once stood.
You’re familiar with the ritual:
me wondering if you would,
you wondering if you could.
You’ve swept the circle,
lit the flame,
carved the words into your skin.
With us, it’s always the same,
never unburdened by our sin.
Invoke your gods,
sing the song,
heal this wound,
right this wrong.
Your heart is broken,
your flesh is aching,
but the cage you’re in
is of your own making.
