darkness in my soul by Torry Msimango

Torry Msimango | December 31st, 2008 | poetry | No Comments

in the recesses of my mind
the universe held up
by a dark core
hidden from everyone
nonetheless infused
with dark heavens
afloat with sombre shades
nebulous, thick
depression traps me
my light flickers
my life lingers
the anti-climax of anticipation
urgent with suicidal thoughts
i long
i fear
finality mocks me
the death spirit lurks
the clouds of my thoughts
cry
