Aforika Borwa e tuka malakabe,
E tukiswa ke ho tshaba dinnete
Mmuso o tahwa ke mafura o furalletse dinnete
Baetapele ba tshepitse thuto ya mahala
Empa diketso tsa bona di a paka hore ba a lebala
Baithuti ba lwanela tsa bona ditukelo
Empa mmuso o ba nyanyatsa ka dikulo
O ba kgama ka mosi
O ba ntsha dikotsi
O ba romella dinotshi
Ba hwanta mebileng ba le nosi
Thuto ya Mosotho ke taba e hlokolotsi
E hloka tshehetso ya dikgosi
BoTambo le BoMandela ba a tsitsinyeha mabitleng
Boipaballo ha bo sa leo mebileng
Maponesa a hloka mohau
Ba bohale ba ditau
Baetapele ba rona ba hloka dinnete
Ditshepiso ba a di lebala
Tokolloho e a re bapala
Ba itse re ba kgethe ba tla re hlwekisetsa mabala
Kaofela re tlilo lekana, re kgone ho bapala
Empa ba a re bapala
Ka nako ya dikgetho ba a kgothala
Ka morao ha dikgetho ba a robala
Ke bona ekare ba etsa ka bomo
A kere bona ba ja tsa tshepe dikgomo
Bana ba bona ba kena dikolo mose
Ha batswadi ba baithuti ba imetswe ke metse
Mmuso wa jwale o phetaphetana le diketso tsa mmuso wa kgale
Ha o wa fapana le mmuso wa kgethollo
O re tshepisitse hore o tla re lokolla
Empa ha o tsebe ho itokolla,
Setjhaba sa bo rona se a bokolla
Aforika o moetapele empa o wa re tlontlolla
Thuto ya mahala o hana ho e lokolla
Mathata a kgale o sitwa ho a rarolla
Diketang tsa kgethollo o sitwa ho di qaqolla
Bokgobeng o sitwa ho itjheholla
Mmuso wa jwale o sebedisa tsela tsa kgale,
Tokoloho eo re e lwanetseng ha e bonahale
Dillo tsa rona ha di utlwahale
Boetapele ba hao ha bo bonahale, ha bo hlokahale
Thuto ya mahala ho wena ha e bohlokwa ha e kgonahale
O dula o lla ka tjhelete
Empa o kgona ho rekela mopresidente nonyana ya tshepe
Empa baetapele ba kganna dikoloi tse majabajaba,
ba dula ntlung tse mabaibai,
ba apara diaparo tsa mebalabala
ba kgola matsebetsebe
Ka moruo wa naha rona ha re o tshepe
Pelo ya hao e tiile e entswe ka tshepe
Nako e tla fihla le wena di tla ho llelwa ke ditshepe
Baithuti ba a theosa ba a nyolosa ha hona moputso
Mmuso o hana ka thuso
Naheng ya rona ha hona kgutso
Dikolo di hloka kgotso
Dikulo di hloka kgutso
BoHabib bona ba bua sekgowa se senang thuso
Ba re baithuti ke mahanapuso
Empa bona ba hana ka thuso
Ba batla dikolo di tswelepele ka dithuto
Ditjeho di hana ho wa tsa thuto
Mosotho o hanelwa ka thuto
Baetapele ba baithuti ba kwalletswe ntlwanatshana
Tjhaba sa Rantsho matsoho a rona a hana ho hlatswana
Aforika borwa o fetohile mantlwane
Mona lapeng ho phomella feela dinokwane
Tokolloho tutuboloha tlohella ho tutubala
Ditjeho tsa thuto di hana howa loosely translates to “education fees are refusing to fall”. It talks about how South Africa is mistreating the students and employing tactics and strategies of the apartheid regime to address the plight of students. Further this poem talks about how South Africa can afford to buy its first citizen a 4 billion jet and not prioritize the education of an African child. The leaders have promised free education when they campaigned for votes but when the students want to access what was promised the leaders claim that what they are requesting is impossible.
