Fallen by Gameedah Riffel

Poem

I died once.

My wings fell off
As I was carried further and further down.

My light extinguished
As I slowly became a part of the ground.

Withering away until I was no more
With only one particle left,
That particle being my soul.

A soul you cared for, A soul you could still see.

My only wish
Is that you didn’t die with me.
