Poet Bio

Seventeen shades of cream
Congregated on her perfect form
Her peplum sashaying left and right alike
The metronome…her Louboutins

Stepping out
Coach Bag…

Designer Heels…
Check
Custom Perfume…
Check
Diamond Studs…
Check
Apparel that costs the earth…
Check
Crimson Pout…

Million Dollar Manicure…
Check
Bands of hair that fall flat in obedience…

Pray tell me
High Street Princess
Whisper to Me
What is it you seek…

And I can swear…
Amidst the roars of the low slung coupes
In between the fluid swipes of credit cards

I hear the…
Unequivocal
Unsophisticated
Unabashed
Admission

An admission with words like…
Home and Pyjamas and Slippers
Strung together in a not altogether incoherent phrase…

Whatever could she have meant…
That perfect High Street Girl
