I knew you lied by Samkelo

Poem

I knew you lied
When you said you were busy
But I refused to say it
A lie is like rope
I now know you are tied
Sometimes solitude is a way to cope.

You could have taken deeper breaths with us.
Among friends irrational thoughts hide.
Anxiety and a racing heart disappear with friends.
We would make sure you’re okay.
Friends are therapeutic.
