a continental walkway between us.
Your eye, conqueror of all barriers,
sees me.

Seize me for your delight
and I will linger beyond daybreak.
Come atop & take flight.

The sea is restless, abides the tides
& does not wash you ashore to me.

I will long for you beyond this life &
though they say beware, I want you
still. come again midway and leave
only when I am gasping, cut in two
