Hazel Tobo
Started writing in 2004 and has since fallen and grown in love with Spoken and written word. Hazel is an infant photographer and visual artist. Love for life and art.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO WRITE AND HOW?
Poetry is art written and spoken and art is a way of life, you need life before you beget art. And so my inspiration lies within the simplest of things; life. Life is an experience we all share, hence is a relatable topic to write about, so I get my inspiration from everyday life, it inspires me to reflect and share what fellow beings go through on a daily basis.

WHAT QUALITIES DO YOU VALUE WITHIN THE SISTERHOOD?
I value the peace, the love, harmony, understanding, light, positivity and the sense of refuge and belonging.

WOULD YOU ENCOURAGE OTHER WOMEN TO JOIN HANDS AND WHY?
Yes. Because we are a people that needs one another to get by, we need another’s shoulder when our burdens are greater than our own and when there is great misunderstanding in front of one, another might have a clear explanation ,so where else is best to unify if not within the sisterhood? Where everyone can relate and understand you as being. Because we are a dependent people, re batho ka batho ba bangwe.
