My unfulfilled perfect plan by Daniel Mahaba

Daniel Mahaba | September 25th, 2017 | a poem a day challenge, poetry | No Comments

I wanted to stand on top of the moon
And tell you how much I love you
In front of all the races of the world
I wanted to collect sparkling stars
And make you a twinkling bracelet
I also wanted to see how God and angels
See you from up there

And,
If Neil Armstrong was my dad
I would steal his space shuttle
Take you on a date in the zodiac
To a restaurant called Pieces
And order us two dishes of hake
We would be served by a mermaid waitress
Whom we would tip with pebbles
After you tell me your dreams, hopes and wishes
We would cuddle on moving clouds
And make silly jokes about Earth

Then I realised that when love is truly felt
It is hardly expressed
So without saying anything
I walked away
