Poem

Would you follow where I led?
Would you follow where I led?
Listen to the stories I plant in your head?
Would your friends gossip?
“Did you hear what they said?”
My sweet lover, does it worry you?
such scandals that befall us:
The Sins of the unwed.
Be at peace and kiss me.
I have songs to sing.
Lay you down on my bed?
The hours are long,
and the flowers are red.
Would you follow where I led?
Would you follow where I led?
