Poet Bio

Gazing
Down the barrel
Of a gun
Contemplating
Sins committed
And those that the mind
Was still to conjure up
Instincts of fight
Or flight
Refusing to kick in
As I stare down
The barrel of a gun
Smoke covered
Landscapes
With no place to hide
And no escape
Trembling knees
Losing
Control of the senses
Heart beats
Frantically
But the body
Remains
Motionless
Stuck
Cement covered feet
Staring down
The barrel of a gun
Counting
Last seconds
Click
A sound cleared
The airways
Clear and pristine
Still I stood
Made peace
With my demons
Eyes closed
A sigh of relief
Slayed
While staring down
The barrel of a gun
