You got him bail
No-it was the Judge’s decision
But- you fought for him
You fought extra hard
And the State opposed
Yet still, you fought.
There are no further charges other than possession of a firearm,
My Lord.
Nobody was shot.
My Lord.
You were just doing your job.
How were you to predict or foresee?
The dead man.
Shot.
Frozen in a photograph.
And the man you got bail for, stands accused.
Someone whispers in the gallery, ‘’look he has the cold eyes of a killer’’
But people are too afraid to look.
And few people know or care that
The difference between an accused man and one convicted is vast like the ocean, that infinity of saltwater
and sorrow.
