Thoughts Stuttering by Paul Zietsman

Paul Zietsman | September 25th, 2018 | poetry | No Comments

Poem

if I could only grasp why,
why fear stole a foothold,
a foothold in my heart

and if I can grasp how,
how love died so suddenly,
suddenly without a warning

maybe then peace will,
maybe peace will return

return to my broken mind,
mind broken by

doubt,
doubt leading to

to insecurity
to weakness

leading to questions,
only questions,
questions stealing my,
stealing my life

my life stolen,
stolen by…
questions

i can die if I knew,
if I knew why,
why you left,
i can die
