To my beloved by Joshua Nkwana

Joshua Nkwana | December 4th, 2018 | poetry | No Comments

Poem

I’ve been ablaze
on a page
my hand as oxygen
feeding my skin
to grow thicker

I had no words
to give my page
a voice
but emotions
overflowing

blood jumping out
of my veins
my skin like steam
exposing my feelings

I had no words
to tell
how your absence
had been a story
unending

but
only through tides
of this ocean
I’m carrying on my face
is how I write back
to you
