The inaugural Okot p’Bitek Prize for Poetry in Translation was awarded last night. Judged by our editor and founder, Duduzile Mabaso and Juliane Bitek (writer, poet and scholar, the daughter of Okot p’Bitek), this prize is unique kind of prize.
