you left me standing by Collen Mabasa

20 March 2015 a poem a day challenge, poetry Comments Off on you left me standing by Collen Mabasa
I hear the sound of rain, I’m sleepless without you, what is all the morning’s wealth if you ain’t near’ come sleep to sooth my heart and numb, what a dreamless weary, I open my eyes still am alone, your words have forked no light like a sinking star as I smooth my long brown nose, my eyelids droop sad and silent, stark and lonely’ I have known you since I could stand, something is wrong: did death blossom on my shadow; I have no human fear’ our homely joys and destiny obscure, in the dark alone my heart is filled with rain drops, our springtime with its roses are shuttered and over.
security officer on a daily basis, part time student at academy of York, I write and write everyday with no limitations n with God’s grace I will write till doomsday.
