The Commercial Value of Love by Paula Puolakka

Paula Puolakka | Feb 17th, 2020 | poetry | No Comments

Tame Impala’s “The Slow Rush”
was released on Valentine’s Day 2020
– that shows the commercial value
of love.

The love relationship between
the band and their fans
has been seen so many times before
in the history of music.

The musicians are handing over
their hearts to people,
and people are showering the artists
with attention.

Eventually, to maintain the connection,
the musicians are forced to think bigger
– to hand an album to the fans
as a Valentine’s Day gift.

Tame Impala’s album is deep and complexed:
too good to be published on
Feb 14th
– but that proves the commercial value of love.
