A curse for my beloved by Nkateko Tshabalala

Nkateko Tshabalala | Sep 22nd, 2020 | poetry | No Comments

A love that behoves, is a love that begs admiration from its reflection in the mirror
Longing for a splice at the last oasis
Parched from prayers answered only with promises
The wandering heart stumbles in a mirage of spiced water
The devil satisfies more than just the thirst
It has been a curse for my beloved to be loved by me.
