we could see their smiles,
them touching each other,
hear them singing and dancing.
Now fear has crippled them!
We miss them playing touch on the playgrounds.
We miss being adorned and taken pictures of.
We miss bringing them together outside their walls.
Maybe what they need is a family song!
A song of healing and hope
to be sung by the family of earth.
An orchestra by the animals and birds
a melody from the waters.
Chords from the winds
wise lyrics from the mountains of old.
A bridge from the humans
composed by mother nature.
To restore hope, freedom and trust!
