Eternal and timeless,
Jewel of the night,
The beauty of the sky,
She stands on the rostrum.

Nature’s gift for the night,
She’s surrounded by dazzling lights,
Changing in different seasons,
Phasing for a memorial.

Up there you stand in allegiance
to the Creator’s bidding,
Unrelenting in duty,
Your hands are not wearied by time.

It’s time for twilight tales,
As you take your bequeathed place,
Children sit around sages,
Lessons to learn in each story.

Ageless like the sands by the seashore,
You have walked through many doors,
My father calls you the glory of the night,
I call you the lamp of the night watch.
