A Train To Solzhenitsyn by Mitja Lovše

Mitja Lovše | October 8th, 2024 | poetry | No Comments

Poem

The saying was loud,
but you’ve deflected
the wrong person
for such a deed.

The censorship won,
you misspoke again
as the salient got
their happiness.

The home is elsewhere,
you gain some respect,
yet you ended up alone
and potentially hurt.

No one ever claimed
you could’ve stayed.
