A Two-Faced Coin by Iyanuoluwa Okunola

Poem

As Saul was once a great man,_
So do we have our own prospects
of the same coin—
a two-faced coin.

And when a trader picks up a coin
and tosses it to the sky,
it’s either heads or tails.
When I pick a coin,
I wonder which side to toss.

Pride could be fuel for honor or ruin.

Heads or tails?
That’s how pride becomes controversial—
depending on how we approach it.

_As Saul was once a great man,_
I also see the consequences,
when you weave pride to your own wavelength,
instead of learning both its faces.
