A Well-Dressed Man by Mitja Lovše

Poem

We need a better world,
but this one is all we have,
though few do pretend Mars
might have been a better option.

Their faces have such eyes
one can get lost in too much,
they play to know what love is,
they turned that into a commodity.

You have had your warnings,
some of them were quite subtle,
while the few spoke with no words,
their loudness should’ve been obvious.

‘Let us go to Mars then, ha ha,’
says a guy who jokes he’s a Nazi.
