After the storm by Noel Diketane

Poem

The elephant swallows the rainbow
Chokes on its pride
Burps Shame
Opts to conform

So in retrograde, he performs the miracle of Jesus
Turns into a puddle
Fits into a bottle
Flows up the straw, not by choice
Evaporates at the mercy of the sun
But condensation is the magic of most boys with identity crisis

Poet Bio

He actually sucks at 30 seconds. Tries his best to mask his stutter.
