Because They Never Went To Woodstock by Mitja Lovše

Mitja Lovše | September 18th, 2025 | poetry | No Comments

Poem

The jailed became
the jailers as those do
that were laughed at
and that gain the strength.

These forget what
they used to symbolize,
they call themselves
the biggest chosen ones.

A battered street
in search of a way out
with no comfort now
as the breaking news

don’t do much,
they’re just noise.
