Poem

The poem I lost
had sweet lines
that captured our memories
Sweet lines
that held our cries
That night I knew
what love was
and I wrote it there.
But it was laid to rest
Only to arouse faint lines
When days are dark
I wrote there
until death do us apart
Slowly and very slowly
I wrote that
The ending was left untold
When the day dawned
You were gone
Faded like a mist
All I hope is that
when the pain finally vanishes
Your steps so quick and low
I pray to God
To bring back the lost poem
Sweet lines
that captured our memories
Sweet lines
that held our cries
