The door opened,
You stepped into another world,
It’s been a walk in this transient world,
A world we call home,
Incomparable to where you’ve gone,
I’m glad for the moments I spent with you,
I knew you not only as a grandfather
but also as a teacher and counsellor,
Although we fell out,
Those times are in the past,
I bid you farewell,
Not forgetting that one day
I would also take my exit,
Farewell, granddad,
Farewell to a home beyond borders.
