Poem

My name is bitter and my drug of choice is the past

My host has lied and dressed me up as burning sass

She walks through life like she’s living bliss

Cause she’d rather choke than admit that I exist

She dips her pain in bravery

Making me her king in slavery

She seeks for ways to kill me

Because I refuse to let her free

I was born at a time when trust was broken

Now I dance in her body as her hurt’s token

The world won’t let, they won’t let her feel it though

Because a strong woman can never let herself go

So she dips her pain in bravery

Making me her king in slavery

She seeks for ways to kill me

Because I refuse to let her free

She tells her friends that she’s over it

But she wishes that he suffers like she did

I know that she doesn’t want him again

Because all she yearns for is to have me dead
