Poet Bio

Lord,

Make me an instrument of thy peace
Tune the harp of my heart
Tighten the strings
So that not one note of the sacred melody
You have written on the blank sheets of my soul
May be out of place

Lord,

Make me an instrument of thy love
Let my self seeking slip away
As I trudge along the road of happy destiny
May foes turned comrades walk beside me

Lord,

May I be the quiet in the storm
A place of safety and of warmth
A light that leads the lost back home
Travel, stead of travail on

Lord,

make me an instrument of thy peace
In the face of adversity
Even when the enemy roars like a lion
Remind me that even then there is a feast prepared
That victory is already there
Found in the arms of love

Blessed are the peacemakers
For they shall be called Children of God
Let us not be swayed by the ways of man
But love each other as we ought
May we love as thou hast loved us Lord

And may we forgive one another
As you have forgiven us
Make our enemies our friends
May we become the blessed meek
And the hand of God to those in need
Let us care, without a care
Let our burdens disappear
As we lay e’ery cumbrance down

Lord,

Let thy peace reign
Thy Kingdom come
