I’m walking into the dream with the Blue Fairy:
the ordinary mythical creatures of the subconscious mind
are the models of our real-life likes and dislikes,
and the Blue Fairy is here to teach me.
“Who is your favorite person?” she asks,
and I point out the Jewish demon,
the king of the high elves, and the wise man with the Jewish features.
The blue effect of everyday life reminds me
of their presence and energy:
a blue flame,
a blue butterfly,
or a blue flash is a sign that a true friend is right beside me.
