Poet Bio

Though flames danced less, sharp crackling died,
the deeper core yet pulsed in flare,
and glow threw crimson, flushed shade grey,
as conversation stuttered, drift,
while tired took toll, excitement’s flow.

As embers proved what gone before,
companions knew their night had come,
for passing was the stirring heat
and proximity slid away.

But now, reflection on what shared,
the fire inside as been inspired,
their fuel for passion like the brands,
as seen, felt, known within the camp;
their blood still pulsing, red, on fire.
