Celebrating overcoming by BL Dineo

Poem

Gracefully it plier, etendre, relever
from the dismal Shakespearean tragedy,
which pirouetted its world,
forced to start on the allegro,
encouraged by time to dance more adagios.

As the rays of light emerge,
it readies for the arabesques,
to show its elegant form,
supported by strong calloused feet,
beneath the beautiful silk slippers.

What a display of beauty,
a celebration of overcoming,
what it once thought impossible.
What a dance, what a worthy dance!
