Clockwork by Thompson Emate

Poem

Piercing hope,
Bleeding hearts,
Sagging rope,
Troubled mind.

Shrivelled roses,
Bare meadow
Cluttered lane,
Wearisome journey.

Fleeting daylight,
Tunnelling midnight,
Feeble bridges,
Recalcitrant doors.

Unable hands,
Restrained fatherly role,
Ambivalent tomorrows,
Tumultuous relationships.

Misconstruing minds,
Weeping hearts,
Overcast days,
Unrelenting pursuit.
