Poet Bio

we’d curled our toes
clutched our fists
held on for dear life
and hoped for the best

a test, you said
I disagreed
no force was guiding this
this wasn’t fate

this was raw consequence
driving our decisions
and now we bit down
in for the long run

hoping that everything we did
and everything we said
would matter
three days later
