Poet Bio

I am falling out of existence.

the urge to be a non-being
Traveling along a white line.

the deadening weight
in your bones, stifling the
conflagration in your cavernous chest.

the weightless charm
of the panoramic pull,
each atom flaring indignantly,
that seeks to suck you smooth.

For without edges,
how can you ever know or be known?

Poet Bio

Alikzandre Marais is an intrepid explorer of the self, and to this end investigates any road that might lead deeper into that realm. At times, he does so while teaching.
