why is it, that everyone always has someone to dance with
they are always the other half of a whole
when it comes to me, all my life I’ve been dancing alone
waiting for him to reach for my hand
to drag me out to the floor to join the other girls
who I finally deserve to be associated with
but I’ve been waiting for a while now
and I think it’s time to accept
that while they are exchanging partners on the dance floor
I’ll be in the corner, dancing on my own
