The coast I sleep on now
has no one to call an owner,
there’s not a single person
to claim this piece of land.
The grey of the sand
and the azure of the sea
form a smell I miss a lot,
when I’m at my own home.
The world stops on this beach,
the waves whisper slowly,
they pull me into the trance
I can’t reach alone.
This is what today feels like,
though tomorrow…?
