Distressed Earth by Thompson Emate

Poem

The world we make,
The future we’ll embrace,
The damage we have caused,
Our desires have plunged us into a quagmire,
Our cravings have chauffeured us into
a distressed ambience,
The earth weeps for her untold troubles,
She is in sorrow for the unwritten turmoils,
As time progresses,
Her discomfort unfolds,
As time progresses,
A frail earth we’d see.
