These creatures – beautiful, strong, and regal,
Used as ponies, show pieces, props in the human ego,
They are beaten, drugged, and broken by psychos,
Who view life through a false sense of superiority
Never thinking about the horse or ponies’ welfare,
Punishing them for getting spooked or bucking,
What if they can see what we can’t?
A ghost, a demon, or even a snake,
Sensitive and often used, some only want greys,
It is a disgrace to call yourself an animal lover,
When you treat a horse like a trophy
For your precious dressage or middle-class circus.
