Escaping senses by Yazeed

Yazeed | Jan 18th, 2019 | poetry | No Comments

All I see when I look out of my window

at night

is glowing coals and black skies

I taste the smokey bitterness so sweetly

All I hear when I listen out of my window

at night

is the city killing the struggling song of silence

I feel the sharp air, dark, deep, refreshing

All I smell out of my window

at night

is longing, wanting, is wonder

And I think to my self that

a window can make a great escape.
