Everything Keeps Changing by J. M. Allen

Poem

Everything keeps changing, and I see it every day.
Not always for the better, I just needed to say.
More roads are being built, as are cars that on them ride.
Nature keeps gets plowed up, not sure if we can stop the tide.

Some people are not using trash cans, and I see it in the grass.
They shouldn’t be doing that, and I find them too crass.
People are afraid to pick it up, maybe they will get sick?
I am not as scared, although I might utilize a stick.

The lines at the checkout, they seem longer than before.
It wastes a lot of time, makes me want to avoid any store.
Some things are better, like info on the Internet not ceasing.
So, hoping we can manage as the population keeps increasing.
