Poet Bio

She lived in a world of her own,
Oblivious of her surroundings,
Nothing mattered to her,
Her memory wiped
clean as a slate,
Nothing could bring
her down memory lane,
In a world of hers
though in a world of ours,
I longed to see her,
I longed to talk to her,
Even though a stranger I’d be,
A gulf was between us,
The ocean was our barrier,
She’s gone,
Closed her eyes
in a farewell night sleep,
The last survivor of her clan,
A woman of many tales,
A woman of deep words,
A ray in the gloom.
