a dichotomy of what will and what could have been.
If ignorance is bliss then tell me why ignoring it gives it power.
Sometimes it visits after a smile
Then that smile runs away from me
For miles and and miles until the fear becomes enormous.
Fear may be stronger than love but love conquers all.
Lungelo “unusuaLungelo” Buthelezi is a bilingual writer, a performing poet and a music producer.
He has performed in well known art platforms like the Centre for Creative Arts Poetry Africa Open Mic 2024, the Bat Center, Inanda FM, Mkhondo FM, as well as the DUT Poetry Sessions at the Durban University of Technology where he is currently a student.
In March 2025 he released a poem on all streaming platforms titled Babhecwa Ngobubende which received a lot of positive responses from poetry lovers.
