For Once by Charl Landsberg

Poem

What I wouldn’t give,
to have you see,
to open your eyes with me,
But you chose ignorance.
What I wouldn’t give,
to have you know,
to learn with me and grow.
But you chose ignorance.
What I wouldn’t give,
for five minutes,
five meager minutes,
in which you knew what you’ve lost.
Just so that we’re on the same page.
For once.
