Glorious Ginger God Laura Mostert

Laura Mostert | May 10th, 2021 | poetry | No Comments

Poem

This is a hymn for the ginger god
Who lies buried beneath
His leaves perched above
Reaching for the sun

Your magnificence excites me
I can’t wait to meet
To touch your sacred face
To consume your holiness

Help me fight
This dreaded disease
Antioxidant god
Break its hold!
Permeate my body with your glorious gingerol
Return & restore me
