Gone Days by Thompson Emate

Poem

Sunshine is gone,
A new season is here,
Outdoor fun is on hold,
Games to play indoors
are the only sure diversions,
They’re the only way to unwind,
The weather in Johannesburg is a four-legged stand,
It distinguishes her from her sibling nations,
Laundry days are gloomy days,
They’re uncertain days,
We long for sunshine,
We eagerly await her arrival.
