Her voice is like liquid silver,
faintly flowing through the fractures of my heart.
Every word she spoke
crept through faded footpaths of lost love,
its warmth soothing sorrow and soldering scars.
I knew this would never last-
silver will always fade.
What I didn’t know, and will never understand…
Is how I now have a silver heart,
renewed and grand.
Yet so heavy and afraid.
