Poet Bio

Hold up a bit-
let me see you.
I hardly ever do.
You with hair,
that smells of lavender;
dancing into the room,
never missing a cue.
Subtle magic.
And a wink of an eye,
belie the trick,
your subtle way,
you made this a good day.
Show me how.
Please.
Unfolded hands,
unbent knees.
No prayer.
No fuss.

Just us.
Just us.
You could cradle the stars,
in the crook of your smile,
outshining each one,
in your immortal style.
Hold up a bit-
let me see you.
It’s been so long..
