(cw) queerphobic violence
Jay was far too gay for church.
His parents sent him away.
Jane’s parents only called her Joe,
he, him, his, night and day.
Jolene and June do not want kids,
and refused life-saving treatment.
Joseph needs his hormone meds,
but supplies are made infrequent.
Jules got called a tranny fag,
for the crime of being transgender.
Her head wrapped in a plastic bag,
as her father tried to end her.
Jared has more scars than most.
Jace sleeps under a bridge.
Janet lost their job today,
to face an empty fridge.
We face such grotesque punishment,
for imaginary crimes;
-faced with old renewed violence,
in these most inhuman times.
